She got married to Patton Oswalt in 2017.. Jessie James Decker........................Born Jessica Rose James, Decker's somewhat exotic birthplace was a product of her being raised in a military family. Decker's family was a military one and lived in Louisiana when she was just nine years old. The singer won an audition competition by singing an original rendition of Patsy's I Want to Be a Cowboy's Sweetheart. Decker's family relocated from Louisiana to Georgia during the summer of 1995. She had been writing music regularly and was regularly visiting Nashville to find deals. The songs she wrote were released to record companies as well as other artists by a Big Yellow Dog Records agent at the age of 17. The decks were then sent through to L.A. Reid by Mercury Records President David Massey, who was at the time in charge for Island/Def Jam. Reid then was able to sign Decker to a recording contract. Jessie James, her moniker for the album she released under that name at the end of August, 2009 was her own self-titled. Jessie James was reasonably successful and also featured Wanted a single that brushed in the Top 40 of the singles charts. Decker has always been a "country" artist but this album was produced and promoted in a way that appeals to the pop market. Decker felt dissatisfied by the two other singles that were released from the album, challenged the executives of the label to get better control. Decker then released her second single Boys in the Summer which was more than a country track. The second album that Decker released under the title Daughter of a Gypsy or Sweet American Dreams was shelved by Mercury and after three singles did poorly on the charts for country. Decker was let go of her contract.
