Laura Linney is an American actor who has become well-known for her performance of strong but vulnerable characters. In the summer, while working with her father's business Laura Linney was captivated with theatre. Later she attended Brown University she studied acting and also at Juilliard School, after which, her career took off. Starting her acting career on the Broadway shortly after her graduation, she appeared on film in just two years and on television following a year. Since then she has appeared in a variety of film, TV as well as stage productions. Her achievements have been numerous over the course of her career including four Primetime Emmy Awards and two Golden Globe Awards. However, despite all the accolades, her love for theatre remains in her, and she still performs in the stage and on screen.
